Biography
Karen P. Guerra, MS, CCC-SLP, is a bilingual speech-language pathologist with 19 years of pediatric experience, mostly focusing on the evaluation and treatment of monolingual and bilingual children. Karen, who speaks English and Spanish, received her master’s in audiology and speech pathology from Florida State University. She relocated to Atlanta, Ga., in 2003 to work for Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta in an outpatient rehabilitation facility serving the Latino community in Georgia. As a part of the assessment and diagnosis team at Marcus Autism Center, Karen is involved in various research studies impacting family training and engagement of Latino caregivers, community screenings, and diagnosis and assessments of underserved populations.
