Dr. Sorscher has maintained a research focus on cystic fibrosis (CF) related science and clinical intervention for more than 25 years. He has contributed to studies of cellular and molecular biology describing aminoglycoside suppression of CFTR truncation alleles, clinical significance of mild CFTR mutations and the bioelectric phenotype, acquired loss of CFTR function in vivo, and mechanisms underlying activation of CFTR by potentiator and corrector compounds. He has participated in recent advances with regard to CF molecular pathogenesis and emerging experimental therapeutics.
