Dr. Cherven’s research focuses on reproductive health among adolescent and young adult cancer survivors. Her research interests are informed by her extensive clinical experience as a pediatric oncology nurse with the Aflac Cancer Survivor and Fertility Preservation programs. Dr. Cherven’s doctoral work focused on the human papillomavirus vaccine among young adult cancer survivors and as a faculty researcher, she is focused on fertility assessment and sexual health among cancer survivors. She also serves as a Nurse Scientist and mentor for nursing and allied health research in the Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorder Center.
