Biography

With over 14 years of research experiences at Emory University, Ming has worked in molecular biology, cellular biology, and immunology.  Her most passionate area of interest is animal survival surgeries with an expertise in:

  • Rat Pulmonary artery banding (PAB)
  • Rat Aorta banding (AAB)
  • Rat myocardial infarction
  • Mouse liver ischemia and reperfusion
  • Rodent heterotopic ear-heart transplant
  • Partial and whole nephrectomy (Mouse Chronic Kidney Disease)
  • Rat Jugular vein and carotid artery cannulation
  • Bone marrow transplant

Ming also works with animal bio-imaging including rodent echocardiography (vevo 2100), in-vivo Fluorescence Bio-imaging, and Echo Guide in-vivo stem cell injections in post PAB surgery rat’s right ventricular.
