Overview
Dr. Xu Ji is a health services researcher at the Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center of Children's Healthcare of Atlanta (Children's) and Emory University School of Medicine. Before joining Children's and Emory University, Dr. Ji worked at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention as a postdoctoral health economist for two years. She received her PhD in health services research and health policy, economics track, from Emory Rollins School of Public Health.
Dr. Ji’s research focuses on pediatric cancer care and cancer survivorship, leveraging rigorous quantitative methods and big data analytics. Her current projects focus on healthcare access, quality, and outcomes among childhood and adolescent/young adult (AYA) cancer survivors, with a particular focus on those with public health insurance. Dr. Ji studies the changes in pediatric and AYA cancer treatment and outcomes following the implementation of healthcare interventions and policies. Another research area of her interest is cost and cost-effectiveness analyses on new cancer therapies.
