Xu Lab: Experiment now docked at the International Space Station; Featured on CNN
Research led by Chunhui Xu, PhD and Kevin Maher, MD, launched on March 6th, 2020 on the SpaceX Dragon and is now docked with the International Space Station.
Their project, "MVP Cell-03; Generation of Cardiomyocytes from Human Induced Pluripotent Stem Cell-derived Cardiac Progenitors Expanded in Microgravity" is focused on how cardiac cells behave/develop in space.
