The URC, a standing committee of the Emory Faculty Council, is responsible for awarding small research grants to the faculty of Emory University. The program is intended to support research and creative projects of faculty in fields for which there is little or no external funding or to explore new areas of research that are likely to attract outside support. Applications are solicited regularly from all regular, full-time Emory faculty members. Proposals received are reviewed by six broad discipline-based subcommittees, composed of faculty members of the University. In addition, a committee is dedicated to "interdisciplinary research."
