Marcus Grand Rounds: Dr. Matt Segall- Emory University

Matt Segall, PhD, is the Program Director for the Monarch Education and Transition Services program at the Emory Autism Center, as well as an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences in the Emory University School of Medicine. Dr. Segall completed his bachelor’s degree in Psychology at the University of Virginia and his doctoral degree in School Psychology at the University of Georgia. His pre-doctoral internship and post-doctoral fellowship were both completed at the Emory Autism Center, while also completing a fellowship at Georgia State University in the Georgia LEND (Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities) program. Dr. Segall is a licensed psychologist in Georgia with research interests involving understanding educator and professional training in working with individuals with ASD, as well as studying how best to support students with ASD in educational settings. Dr. Segall’s clinical work focuses on school-based consultation, assessment, cognitive-behavior therapy and increasing adult independent living skills. The Monarch Program collaborates extensively with a wide array of agencies, universities, programs, centers and stakeholders with interests in school-age and transition age services for individuals with ASD.
